Captain- help rescue and save this pet from Angels Among Us Pet RescueHi! I’m Captain, a boxer puppy. I was found on the side of the road in the country left for dead after being hit by a car. I broke two legs and need pins and such to save my legs. The vets soon found out that I am deaf. They think I was standing in the road and couldn’t hear the car coming when I got hit.

Despite my pain and my horrible
misfortune, I’m the sweetest boy so happy to be alive.

When his rescuer picked his body off side of road, Captain just kept licking her. Please chipin to help Captain and/or share with your contacts. Please pray I can keep both my legs.

Share and spread the love for this special dog.

He will need a foster quiet enough for recovery and an adopter as well, but being deaf, he will need a very special home. He does well with dogs, cats and chickens believe it or not! He pretty much loves everyone and everything.

Popcorn - Help us rescue and adopt this pet All, Popcorn is just a lil ittty bitty kitty that we found in the freezing rain while looking for our lost foster dog. She started life all very rough. Now the lil baby ate a rubbery substance that totally obstructed her intestines. She had to have the vet perform emergency surgery on her or she would have died. The obstruction was too large to pass and it had already been in her for awhile. Please help our lil girl. She is in guarded condition right now.

God Bless,

Kim

Cindy

Cindy ChipIn- Angels Among Us Pet Rescue and AdoptCindy is a 5 month old puppy that was brought into the Hall co Animal Shelter after getting into rat poison. She was bleeding from the nose, her gums were ghost white and she was very thin. She was on death’s door. The vet on site gave her two blood transfusions at her home from her own dog. She made the news in Hall County.

After she got her strength back, they noticed that Cindy’s leg started to bow. The shelter believed this would correct itself once she began receiving proper nutrition.

Angels Among Us rescued her the week of Christmas. After almost a month, it didn’t seem that her leg was any better so we took her to a specialist. Cindy has a joint deformity that requires surgery WHILE SHE IS STILL GROWING. Will this girl ever get a break? She loves everyone and doesn’t let her deformity stop her. She is the happiest puppy ever!

This procedure is her best shot at saving her elbow and allowing Cindy to live a normal life.

She is currently in an awesome foster home with 4 young kids and many other furry friends.

Please share Cindy’s story.
We need to operate ASAP. Bless you!

Gertie

Thursday, January 26th, 2012
The story of Gertie. This story begins sadly but will have a happy ending, we hope. Gertie is a 3 year oldblack purebred Shih Tzu bred in rural GA. Gertie had a home until her mommadied. A rescuer promised the dyingowner that Gertie would be taken care of and placed in a loving home. Clearly, something went wrong. The last time she was seen by her owners, she looked likea healthy Shih Tzu, but in the hands of a neglectful rescuer, this is whathappened. Fact: Gertie came toAngels Among Us nearly bald, not even close to resembling the picture wereceived. She was covered in fleas; her skin was scaly and painful. Acombination of poor diet, flea infestation and depression has caused a rampantskin infection. She also presented with extreme dry eye, which also doesn’t feelgreat. It makes us sick tothink that for over a year, she has suffered greatly and had zero love. Pleasedonate for Gertie. AAU would like to thank Delia of Delia’s Dog House, and heremployees for caring for Gertie. Bathing her daily, giving her medicines, feeding her great grain free food, supplementing her diet with Nzymes (a greatproduct full of antioxidants) and changing her bedding daily due to her skinsloughing. Her dead skin is flaking off and hair slowly growing back. Gertie needs a diligent foster or adopter that will see the beautiful girl under thesad looking hairless canine. Please share and please chip in.

Ice Aka Piggy Pig

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

Ice was an amazing young dog who lost her battle to Cancer on 1/13/2012. She is deeply missed by her mother, Andrea Taylor, and everyone who knew and loved her. Ice’s favorite things to do included playing flyball and rolling in whatever she could find.

When I get where I am going…

On the far side of the sky…

The first thing that I am gonna do is spread my wings and fly….

May you be playing lots of flyball and getting dirty in Heaven.

Charlie B

Monday, January 9th, 2012

Poor Charlie B!!! No good deed goes unpunished! So over the holidays, one of our fosters found this brindle puppy in a park running loose. They tried tirelessly to find the owners: no chip, no collar, and they took him in waiting to find owners. They couldn’t leave him out in the cold to get hit or shot at. He lives in rural Calhoun, GA. Gordon county, a county we save animals from. Well, yesterday he starting getting really sick. Realllllly sick. Parvo +!!! Imagine that! So we had to take in a new Angel unexpectedly. Our vets were an hour plus away so we had to take him to one up there. Prayers needed. We need help for sweet Charlie B. Please donate and share to help us save Charlie B!

He is only a baby and deserves to live!

Trip

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

My name is Trip and I’m a 2 year old Great Pyrenees. My life thus far has been no bed of roses…. I was chained to a tree, for what seemed like forever, with no food or water. My belly ached for even just a small bite of food. Eventually I made my way off the chain, and began to wander. I staggered into an apartment complex, where a Good Samaritan made a call to animal control to pick me up. The animals control officers were shocked at my condition. Due to lack of water and nutrition my pelvis, spine, and ribs have lost all muscle mass and fat. I had a fractured front leg that I had to drag along the ground, and it was rubbed down to the bone. The nice men gave me a pat on the head and transported me to nearby New Ga Animal Hospital. The next day my left front leg was amputated. I woke up from surgery and found that my leg was missing and thus it no longer caused me terrible pain. I began to hope that, perhaps, this was the beginning of a better life. I’m still learning to walk with 3 legs, but what’s even scarier is learning to trust humans. I cannot make eye contact or eat out of hands just yet, but with support, love, time, and compassion I will grow to become the dog I want to be and all of the pain of my past will be a distant memory. I’ve come this far, and survived what I didn’t think I would. All I need now is to be sponsored to receive continued medical care, and emotional rehabilitation from my foster family. Will you please help me start my new life?
