Moo-Moo

rescued dog from shelter by Angels Among Us Pet RescuePlease help us save Moo-Moo!! He is currently in extremely critical
condition and we must do all we can to save his life, yet again!!

Moo-Moo is a young dog weighing approximately 11-15 pounds and has
had such a rough start in his short life.

We were so excited just a few days to literally save his life from a high-kill
shelter but now he is in critical condition in one of our animal hospitals and
the doctors have yet to determine what is causing his extreme illness!

He started vomiting and having bloody stools just a few days out of the
shelter and was rushed to Pet Emergency. Thank goodness, he tested
negative for Parvo but he is still vomiting and there is constant, bloody
diarrhea everywhere! He is being giving intravenous fluids and the doctors
are literally fighting to save Moo-Moo’s life…yet again!!

His bills are estimated to go easily as high as $4,000 and we just don’t
have the funds to meet this critical need. We will NOT let Moo-Moo down
– we didn’t save him just to lose him without trying everything we can to get
this sweet little boy well!!

But we desperately need your help! We cannot face this gigantic task of
raising these funds without YOUR support! Won’t you reach out and help
Moo-Moo? He desperately wants to live – he desperately wants to get well
so he can have that 2nd chance at life that we promised him!!!

Please, please, please….give generously, and often!! Thank you, on
behalf of Angels and on behalf of this very sick little dog who’s counting on
all of us to help him make it through this terrible situation!

Francesca- rescued dog from shelter by Angles Among Us pet rescue Poor “Cheska”! Our Beautiful Yellow Lab mix Girl is in Trouble!

This precious, 1-year old Yellow Lab mix girl is in a very rough, critical place right
now, and she so needs your help and support!

Sweet Francesca was rushed to the emergency vet hospital at 2:00 a.m. late
Saturday night/early Sunday morning – her foster mom found her unresponsive,
with irregular, eratic breathing and very “cold”! It was a very scary situation and
she had to act fast! She literally grabbed this precious girl now so close to death
in her arms, wrapped her up and rushed her to the hospital….fearing along the
way that Francesca might make her trip across the rainbow bridge before they
could reach the emergency room!

The strange thing is Francesca had been just fine at midnight – alert, responsive,
happy – what happened during those two hours?? No one knows at this point!
The emergency vets think perhaps she may have had an allergic reaction to a
bug bite, but many tests were run as they try desperately to figure out how to
help this sweet dog. By 5:00 a.m., they were able to stabilize our darling Cheska
and were able to ascertain that her blood counts were fine, which ruled out any
internal bleeding, at that point.

But this darling girl is not out of the woods yet! She is going to be further
evaluated this Thursday by other vets and surgeons as they have now realized
her liver enzymes are through the roof! (They had quadrupled from her levels on
Sunday!). This could be the result of her hypotensive episode on Sunday, but they
just don’t know at this point. It could be an indicator that there are new worries
and troubles to come.

Please keep Francesca in your prayers and thoughts as she and her foster Mom
need our support so much! But we at Angels also need your support, financially,
to help pay the mounting bills for this sweet pup! With us not knowing yet the
full extent of what we are facing to care for her and get her well, the need and the
bills are climbing daily! We have so many hurting right now – won’t YOU step up
and help us help them to be well and whole again? Thank you so much!

Alanna

Alanna- Rescued dog from shelter by Angels Among Us Pet RescueThis precious, 1-year old Black Flat-Coated Retriever mix was found in a rural shelter, badly burned along the shoulder part of her back, continuing down her left side across her foreleg, down onto her left front paw. The pain she was enduring inside that dark, awful shelter must have been horrific, yet this precious, hurting girl was still wagging her tail, looking at us with eyes of love and desperation, begging for someone to help her find a way to ease that awful pain pulsing along and inside her body! With the help of donations and support, Angels was able to immediately get her to one of the top veterinary hospitals in our area, to be assessed by their emergency team of vet specialists.
The results? Alanna will need to “debrided”, which means they will have to remove dead, contaminated, damaged tissue from her poor body in order to improve her chances of healing BEFORE they can do surgery. Additionally, she will need, at minimum, several surgeries. The first one will replace the damaged tissue, then another to place a flap of skin over the burned areas down her body. And if that were not enough (this poor girl cannot catch a break) you see, she is also Heartworm Positive!
She obviously was never cared for, or taken proper care of before becoming an Angels Rescue baby!! This girl is suffering so much we MUST reach out and help her at all costs!! Alannais just the best girl, in spite of her dire medical emergency situation. She is loving and sweet and so thankful to all her medical team and earthly Angels trying so desperately to help save her,and give her that 2nd chance at having a healthy body, someone to love and care for her, and provide Alanna with a loving, safe home. But we must get her well first! Won’t YOU please dig deep for this sweet, precious girl who has known nothing but hurt, pain, sorrow and heartache at the hands of humans during her short lifetime? Please let her know she is not alone. Please give generously to cover her surgeries, daily changing of bandages, hospital stay and care. She is worth it!! Dig deep, share her story, and help us get this beautiful girl well!

Luvvy

Friday, February 17th, 2012
Luvvy is a young, 4-month old Lab mix puppy who was pulled from the Etowah ValleyHumane Society on Valentine’s Day, along with her brother.
When she came into the arms of Angels Rescue, we noticed immediately that she was much smaller than her brother. Luvvy was extremely skinny, with her bones protruding on her sides. Although coughing and so thin, she was so loving, wagging her tail in spite of her extreme condition, telling everyone around her that she was so grateful and happy to be rescued and still alive!
When we got her to our vets at Loving Hands Animal Hospital to be assessed, it was evident to our vets that Luvvy was malnourished and she had a severe case of pneumonia! How awful for such a small pup to be going through such a harsh fate at such a young age! She continues to have a horrible cough, is very sick, and as you can see from the photo, has a catheter inserted into her tiny body. Luvvy is receiving fluids daily and is receiving medical care. She will have to be in the hospital for several more days at least, and we’re hoping each day she will get stronger and will be able to survive and beat this awful pneumonia in her tiny, frail little body! The good news is our Luvvy is not only a lover, she is also a fighter! Inspite of her dire circumstances, she loves everyone and wags her tail to say, “Thank you for helping me!” She hasn’t even made it to her foster home yet, but has a strong support system within the Angels family! What she needs most right now is donations support to help pay for her hospital stay and much-needed care.
Angels Rescue needs YOUR support for this precious pup! Won’t you reach out today to give what you can to help this poor baby make it from the hospital to a waiting, loving foster home, then into the waiting, loving arms of her forever family?

Sybil

Sybil- rescued dog, help us save this petHello, my name is Sybil! While I look beautiful and happy, I am actually very sick. Several months ago, I was found wandering the streets, starving and homeless in Dekalb County. They think I had been lost for a long time because I was so skinny. When I was finally picked up from Animal Control, AAU and their veterinarians learned that I had heartworms AND a liver shunt. A liver shunt is just another way of saying that blood is not flowing through my liver, and that’s really bad. Since I am only 2.5 years old, the doctors say that I can eventually live a healthy life, but only if I can get immediate surgery and medical care. Please help me live a long, healthy life! I love lounging on the couch at my foster mom’s house and snuggling in the warm sheets. Please donate and help me get well.

Reecee

Saturday, February 4th, 2012

Reecee, our 11 year old min pin, was the first chapter in the story of Patty, Justin, 4 boys and 2 girls(four legged that is). She was the most loyal, loving and protective girl. She took care of her human baby siblings from birth as if they were her own. She treasured her sissy, Roxie, to the fullest. Reecee knew no hate. She was full of love no matter what. Sadly, she was diagnosed with Renal Failure in July 2011, and fought a hard 7 months. But in the end, her little body could not take it anymore. Losing her has been the most heart wrenching loss, since the loss of our infant son at birth 4 years ago. I pray that Reecee is now running and playing free of pain with her baby brother, whether at the Rainbow Bridge or Heaven. Mommy loves you, my girl. Godspeed Reecee and Boden. We love you all the way to Heaven and back.
