Shayleen

FOSTERING - Fostering an animal means taking in and caring for a pet on a temporary basis, while the pet is waiting to be adopted.

Hi, I’m Shayleen! I’m a female, 6-year-old, 51 pound, Mountain Cur & Pit Bull mix. I found myself in a scary and loud shelter, and I was rescued just in the nick of time to save my life. The Angels took one look at my sweet face and just knew they had to save me. My face was very sad at the time because I had a prolapsed rectum, and I was so uncomfortable. But as you can see from my pics, I’m feeling much better and happier now! I’m all fixed up and ready to find my forever family!

Everyone who meets me says what a sweet girl I am. I love people! I love to be pet and cuddled. I enjoy going for walks and really appreciate sniffs over distance. I don’t mind walking on busier trails or being around doggy friends when I’m on leash, but I’m not always comfortable with them off the leash. I would love to be the only furry family member. I’ve been learning some basic manners and I’ve been complimented on what a polite lady I’m becoming.

It’s been a rough period in my life lately, but things are looking up and I can’t wait to find my family!
