Fostering as a family has such an impact. Foster parents Ariadne and Vini, their two adorable children, and Ariadne’s mom love caring for foster dogs and finding their forever homes. They were grieving the sudden loss of their beloved dog Max and decided to honor him by signing up to foster with Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.
This family was already pretty special. They speak multiple languages, love traveling and learning about different cultures, and spending time together as a family. But we want to share Ariadne’s own words about how fostering has impacted them.
Fostering has brought a new kind of happiness into our home—one that we didn’t even realize we were missing. After losing Max, there was a quiet space in our family, and fostering helped fill it with purpose, love, and healing.
Each dog that comes through our home brings something special. There’s excitement when we welcome a new pup, joy in watching them feel safe and loved, and pride in seeing them grow and prepare for their forever family. Those moments have created so many meaningful memories for all of us.
Fostering has also brought us closer as a family. We work together, support each other, and share in the responsibility and the love. My kids have learned kindness, empathy, and compassion in a real and hands-on way, and seeing their hearts grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
In the end, fostering didn’t just help the dogs—it helped us. It brought healing, connection, and a deeper sense of joy into our everyday lives.
